Farmingdale School of Rock Students Win at Competition
The school competed in the franchise's "Best of Season" concert in NYC.
Students at the Farmingdale School of Rock, a new music school in the area, won at the franchise's Best of Season show at New York City’s Highline Ballroom last weekend.
Dalers John Collins, Dylan Radigan, Dylan Gleit, Marli Delaney, Tom Criblez, Trevor Henderson, Luke Seigal, Josi Lacrete, Tara Weinberger, Nico Maruli, Sidney Brunner and Eric Sabshon won for best song (Paranoid Android) and for best overall school at Best of Season.
“The students worked incredibly hard preparing for the show, which I think was evident by their performance and the results, and in this case it’s true that what you reap is what you sow," school General Manager Patrick Castania said.

The students competed against groups at other School of Rock locations in New York City, Westchester, Chatham, Roslyn, Port Jefferson and more.
Steve Augeri, the lead vocalist for the rock group Journey was the special guest judge for the competition and John Joseph, lead singer of the Cro-Mags, sang with the Westchester School of Rock students.

School of Rock offers beginner, intermediate and advanced music programs on guitar, bass,piano, vocals and drums in a performance-based environment. School of Rock operates 72 schools and the Farmingdale school sponsors a spot on WRCN's "The Real Radio Show," where the kids play one song and do an interview every Monday night.
