Farmingdale St. Patrick's Day Parade: What You Need To Know
The village has announced the parade start time, date, route and more information. An Easter Egg Hunt is slated two weeks later.
FARMINGDALE, NY — The 10th annual Farmingdale St. Patrick's Day Parade is scheduled for 2 p.m. March 10, a Sunday, the village announced.
The parade will kick off from Northside Elementary School and spans about half a mile down Main Street to the Village Green. It will feature local community groups, including the Farmingdale Fire Department and other local departments, pipe bands, village officials, and more.
The parade grand marshal will be Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick J. Ryder.

On March 23, the village is set to host its Farmingdale Easter Egg Hunt. There will be photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. People are encouraged to bring family, friends and Easter baskets to the Farmingdale Village Green, at 361 Main Street. The egg hunt starts at 11 a.m. sharp. The egg hunt is for children 11 years old and younger.
Other spring events include the monthly Open Mic Nights hosted by Chuck and Vinny, starting April 9, 7 p.m. at Village Hall, at 361 Main Street; the annual Memorial Day Parade slated for 10 a.m. May 27; the Fire Department Street Fair and Medieval History Day on June 1; the Farmers Market on The Green by Schneider’s Farm on Sundays from June 2 through Nov. 24, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and more.
