Farmingdale Woman, 24, Dies Of Injuries After Being Struck By Vehicle
The woman was pronounced dead at a hospital on Monday after she was struck by a vehicle on Friday night, police say.
FARMINGDALE, NY — The woman critically injured in a crash in South Farmingdale on Friday night succumbed to her injuries, Nassau police said.
Marisa Piazza, 24, of Farmingdale, was pronounced dead by a physician at a local hospital at 3:54 p.m. Monday, the department said.
Piazza was crossing the road near Spencer and West Chestnut streets when she was hit by a 2018 Jeep driven by a 35-year-old man around 7:05 p.m. Friday, police said. The driver was making a left turn onto Spencer Street, police said. Piazza was brought to a local hospital by police ambulance, the department said.

The driver remained at scene, and no other injuries were reported, police said.
