Vouchers available from state Farmers' Market Nutrition Program.

A federally-funded program is making farm fresh food options available to cash-strapped seniors.
Income-eligible seniors can receive a one-time coupon book worth $20 to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at a local farmers’ market, Nassau County announced.
The coupons, courtesy of the state Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, will be available at no cost after July 15. Call the Nassau County Office for the Aging at 516-227-8919 for more information.
Farmingdale's EAT Local Long Island Farmers’ Market, located in the Municipal Parking Lot behind Taste of LI Specialty Market, is accepting the vouchers on Sundays from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. through Nov. 24.
