Honor Flight Reunion At AAM On Saturday For Veterans
The public is invited to attend for free until noon on Saturday.

FARMINGDALE, NY — The American Airpower Museum is co-hosting a reunion with Honor Flight Long Island for 46 veterans on Saturday, and admission is free to the public until noon.
42 Vietnam veterans, three Korean War veterans, and one WWII Veteran all took an Honor Flight on Oct. 4 to visit their military memorials, connect with fellow veterans, and exchange stories.
These heroes will receive Tribute Journals full of photos from their D.C. trip during the "Ceremony of Honors" on Saturday.

The Honor Flight Network was formed in 2005 with a mission of honoring the nation’s veterans, and is currently comprised of over 130 hubs throughout the country dedicated to carrying out the mission.
The reunion is from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at AAM’s Hangar 3, 1230 New Highway in Farmingdale.

Admission for veterans, Guardians, and families is free. The public can also attend for free if they arrive by 12 p.m.
After 12 p.m., regular admission is $18 for adults, $15 for
seniors and veterans, $12 for children ages 3-12, and under 3 are free. AAM members, active

There will be music, including a patriotic medley by The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla Band, and Honor Flight Guardian Eric Wieboldt of Merrick will perform his song, 'Welcome Home, My Brother,' which he wrote as a tribute to Vietnam veterans as many "never received a proper welcome home."
Veterans can get on AAM's waiting list for future Honor Flights by visiting online to apply.
