How To Register For Youth Ice Hockey In Town Of Oyster Bay

BETHPAGE, NY — Session 2 of the Town of Oyster Bay’s 2021 Winter Youth Ice Hockey Program is scheduled to begin on Feb. 6, Town Councilman Louis Imbroto announced Thursday.

This youth hockey program features hockey development, skill programs and a season-end skills competition over the course of 10 weeks at the Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center in Bethpage. The program is open to girls and boys ages 6 through 16.

"Youngsters enrolled in the Town’s Youth Ice Hockey program are given the great opportunity to improve their skating and hockey skills as part of a program that has earned recognition by the National Hockey League for its high level of quality," Imbroto stated via news release. "The Town of Oyster Bay’s Youth Ice Hockey Program is among the best around, with a dedicated coaching staff ready to teach this sport to the many boys and girls enrolled in our program."

Registration will take place at the Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center in Bethpage on:

• Wednesday, Jan. 20 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (residents only)
• Thursday, Jan. 21 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (residents only)
• Sunday, Jan. 24 from 8 a.m. to noon
• Monday, Jan. 25 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center is at 1001 Stewart Ave., Bethpage. Anyone interested in registering for the 2021 Winter Youth Ice Hockey Program must bring a copy of their birth certificate, proof of Town of Oyster Bay residency (tax or utility bill) as well as payment. Check, money order, MasterCard or Visa will be accepted. All registrants must bring these items, even if they have participated in the past. A parent or legal guardian must be present at registration.

The program is held on Sunday mornings, and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The registration fee is $150 for 10 weekly sessions.

All participants must provide their own equipment and should have some skating ability.
