FARMINGDALE, NY — John's Crazy Socks of Farmingdale and King Quality Roofing and Siding of Bohemia are joining forces with Christmas Magic to help the Long Island nonprofit fulfill the holiday wishes of children in need.

King Quality gifted Christmas Magic a $30K marketing grant. The grant is funding a TV commercial aimed at raising donations for Christmas Magic, which relies solely on individual contributions to deliver gifts to about 11,000 Long Island children each year. The 30-second spot is airing on News 12 Long Island and various cable channels throughout December.

From now until Christmas, for every order, John’s Crazy Socks will donate a pair to Christmas Magic, a non-profit dedicated to bringing holiday cheer to homeless children by providing gifts, food, and festive celebrations.

"At John’s Crazy Socks, the holidays are a time for joy, gratitude, and giving back," said co-founder Mark X. Cronin. "...This partnership embodies John’s Crazy Socks’ deep commitment to serving the community and making a difference in people’s lives."

Mark's son, John Cronin, who has Down syndrome, said happiness has "two keys" — gratitude and doing for others.

"We love being able to bring joy to kids who need it the most," John said.

Each holiday season, shelters, churches, schools, and social service agencies across Long Island refer children to Christmas Magic. These children share wish lists, and the nonprofit’s volunteers— known as elves — use them to shop for personalized gifts. The cost of each gift is estimated at $75.

"What makes Christmas Magic so special is that our dedicated volunteers carefully select gifts based on each child's wish list, making them feel truly seen and heard," said Christmas Magic founder Charlie Russo. "We’re deeply grateful for King Quality’s support in helping us raise awareness and show how everyone can contribute, so we can continue bringing joy and hope to Long Island children facing hardships."

On Christmas Eve, John Cronin will join the Christmas Magic team at one of their celebrations, handing out gifts and spreading happiness directly to the children.

"I can’t wait to see the kids smile and to celebrate Christmas with them," John said.

Mark Cronin emphasized how important this initiative is to the company.

"Giving back is the heart of what we do," Mark said. "Christmas is a time for community and generosity, and we’re honored to partner with Christmas Magic to brighten the lives of children who are facing hard times."

The marketing grant is the latest initiative under King Quality Cares, the contractor’s philanthropic arm focused on raising awareness of charities and community organizations across Long Island.

"At King Quality, we believe in the power of coming together to build a stronger Long Island," said Jeff Brett, CEO of King Quality. "Through our King Quality Cares initiative, we’re proud to support Christmas Magic and their mission to bring joy to children in need. We encourage Long Island residents to discover how they can get involved and help make the holidays special for kids in our community."

This special holiday campaign is an extension of the Giving Back Program that is foundational to John’s Crazy Socks.

The company has donated $800K to charity partners. From supporting the Special Olympics to promoting inclusion through awareness socks, John’s Crazy Socks has made philanthropy a cornerstone of its mission.

The team’s collaboration with Christmas Magic is another example of this commitment. John’s Crazy Socks worked with King Quality Cares to create a commercial supporting Christmas Magic.

The ad, featuring John and Mark, Russo from Christmas Magic, and King Quality’s Brett, captures the spirit of the holidays and encourages others to join the cause.

"Let’s make this Christmas a season of smiles and warmth for everyone!" Mark said.
