Last Chance To Fly On C-47 Warbird This Weekend

FARMINGDALE, NY — The American Airpower Museum is hosting its last C-47 D-Day Living History Flight Experience of the year on Saturday.

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of WWII, Long Islanders have the opportunity to gear up and fly in a WWII Douglas C-47 "Skytrain" over Jones Beach.

Living historians will be dressed in gear and will educate passengers about WWII paratroopers.

Two flights are scheduled on Saturday, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., with a rain date of Sunday. Flights will take place at Hangar 3, 1230 New Highway, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
