Lifelong Farmingdale Volunteer Honored With Key To Town Of Oyster Bay
Joann Vazquez, the outgoing president of the Farmingdale Baseball League, received the first-ever key to the Town of Oyster Bay.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Joann Vazquez, the outgoing president of the Farmingdale Baseball League, received the first-ever key to the Town of Oyster Bay, the township announced.
Vazquez received the key in honor of her 40 years of exemplary volunteer service. She was presented with the honor by Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino, Councilwoman Michele Johnson, and Councilman Thomas Hand.
"Joann has dedicated her life to investing in the future of our next generation, giving her time and talents over the last 40 years to helping young people develop their potential both on and off the field," the town stated in a news release. "Her leadership has grown the Farmingdale Baseball League to tremendous new heights and instilled the values of teamwork, good sportsmanship, and learning in our youth."

April 24, 2022, was proclaimed to be Joann Vazquez Day by the Town of Oyster Bay.
