Man Cuts Three Finger Tips Off While Using Food-Dicing Machine In East Farmingdale: Police
He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with serious injuries, Suffolk police say.
EAST FARMINGDALE, NY — A man cut three of his fingertips off in East Farmingdale Wednesday night, Suffolk police said.
A 45-year-old employee of L&S Packaging Company on Central Avenue was operating a
food-dicing machine at around 7:30 p.m., when he stuck his hand inside the machine to clean it out, and three of his fingertips were cut off, according to police.
The man, who is from North Amityville, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with serious injuries, police said.
