New Restaurant, The Tasting Room Kitchen + Cocktails, Opens On Main Street In Farmingdale
"I started washing dishes and was a busboy when I was 18 and worked my way up."

FARMINGDALE, NY — The Tasting Room Kitchen + Cocktails recently opened its doors on Main Street in Farmingdale.
Jeff Rumman teamed up with long-time friend and three-time Chopped Champion, Marc Anthony Bynum, and long-time friend Louis Lange to bring the restaurant to life. Rumman said that between the three of them, they have more than 50 years of experience in the hospitality and restaurant industry.
Rumman also owns another restaurant, High Tide Taco Bar, down the street.

"I jumped at it because the community of Farmingdale and the surrounding communities are very supportive of Main Street," he said.
He described the restaurant's food as new American cuisine with entrées, small plates, and cocktails, and its design as modern and welcoming.

"Something you would see in New York City, but without the New York City prices," he said.
Rumman added that he's been in the restaurant business for 25 years.
"I started washing dishes and was a busboy when I was 18 and worked my way up," he said.
There are many aspects of the restaurant industry to navigate, and Rumman said he enjoys it.
"I love meeting new people every day, experimenting with food in the kitchen, but most importantly, making people happy and giving people an experience they will remember and want to come back for more," he said.
