Northside Students Host “Charlotte’s Web Fair”

Elementary school bases project on famed children's book.

Second and third grade students at the Farmingdale’s Northside Elementary School recently worked to improve their academic and socialization skills by hosting “Charlotte’s Web Fair.”

The student-run fair was inspired by the popular children’s novel. After reading Charlotte’s Web, students created a fair in the classroom and organized several stations –Wilbur's Math Clubhouse, Fern's Farmhouse of Social Studies, Charlotte's Books and Templeton's Cranky Writing.

After weeks of preparation, the students invited their peers from other classrooms to participate in the fair, directed them where to go and instructed them how to play each game.
