Northwell Health To Provide On-Course Treatment At Ryder Cup
The golf tournament takes place from Sept. 23-28 at Bethpage State Park.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Preparations are being made as the prestigious Ryder Cup golf tournament comes to Long Island next weekend.
Northwell Health, the official health care provider of the event, will oversee on-course medical operations at the Bethpage State Park Black course.
There will be three fixed medical stations staffed by emergency medicine and orthopedic clinicians, registered nurses and certified athletic trainers, supported by roving bicycle response teams and coordinated EMS transport.

"Championship golf at Bethpage is a true mega-event. Our model is built for speed and clarity— get to the nearest medical site or flag an event staffer, and our teams handle the rest from triage to transport," said Mary E. Mahoney, vice president of Emergency Management and Clinical Preparedness at Northwell Health.
Throughout the Ryder Cup, which runs from Sept. 23-28, Northwell will also provide AED/CPR with fixed stations in the field. Operations run under a unified command, with real-time communications linking tournament operations, security and local responders to coordinate hand-offs and transports.

The plan is built for scale and reliability, backed by the Northwell Center for EMS, the region’s largest hospital-based ambulance service.
"Bethpage is ready for an exciting, safe and fun Ryder Cup — fans and players can focus on the golf, knowing care is seconds away if needed," Mahoney added.
