Person Trapped In East Farmingdale Collision
Firefighters freed the person, who was brought to a local hospital along with the other driver.
EAST FARMINGDALE, NY — Two people were brought to the hospital following a collision where one was trapped in East Farmingdale on Friday morning, the East Farmingdale Volunteer Fire Company shared on Facebook.
A man was driving a 2021 Nissan Rogue northbound on Route 110 when his vehicle collided with a 2012 Kia traveling westbound on Smith Street, turning left on southbound Route 110, at 8:34 a.m., Suffolk police said. The Rogue went off the road and struck a sign at a gas station, police said.
One of the drivers was trapped in the crash, the fire company stated. They were freed by two heavy rescue crews before an ambulance brought them to a hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was also brought to a hospital.
