Small Fire Breaks Out At Farmingdale HS Gym

FARMINGDALE, NY — A small fire was reported at Farmingdale High School on Wednesday morning, the school district informed the community in a letter obtained by Patch.

The fire broke out near the north gym, Principal Jed Herman wrote in the letter.

"Fortunately, our security team was on site and, from the swift assistance of both the fire department and NCPD, they ensured the area was safe," Herman wrote. "The building has been cleared, and classes will proceed as scheduled."
