Suffolk D4 All-Stars Advance to PGA Jr. League Championship
The squad, known as Team New York going forward, will compete in the championship against the best junior golfers from other states.

SUFFOLK, NY — The Suffolk D4 All-Stars are heading to the PGA Jr. League Championship. And they'll have a new name: Team New York.
The squad won the PGA Jr. League Regional at Seaview Golf Club to advance to the PGA Jr. League Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club (Scottsdale, AZ) Oct. 11 through 14, according to a spokesman. They'll compete against the best young golfers from other states.
The Suffolk All-Stars, which is based out of Bethpage State Park Golf Course, won all three of its games this past weekend from Sept. 14 to 15. On Saturday, Suffolk faced fellow New York team, the Buffalo North All-Stars, and won 9-3. In Sunday’s final session, the Suffolk County Division 4 All-Stars notched their third and final win with an 8 ½ to 3 ½ win over the Penn State League All-Stars.

While the final two Regional winners are being determined this weekend, Team New York will meet:
- Team Texas
- Team Washington
- Team Illinois
- Team Ohio
- Team California
- Team Georgia
- Team Minnesota
- Team Oklahoma
- Team Connecticut
