Threat Investigated at Farmingdale State

College: Suffolk Police investigate, but threat 'not considered credible.'

Suffolk County Police investigated a threat at Farmingdale State College Tuesday, but deemed the campus safe by 2:30 p.m., according to the school.

“It was investigated, but it was not considered a credible threat,” FSC Director of Communications Kathryn S. Coley said.

Coley said there was no lockdown, but some places on campus were cordoned off as police investigated.

The news lit up Twitter, including this short video of students milling about. But Coley said all campus activities have since resumed.

“We remain alert and have taken all necessary steps to ensure the safety of our campus community,” FSC President W. Hubert Keen said.
