Village Board to Meet Monday; Concert on Wednesday.

These are some of the biggest events this week in the Farmingdale area:

Village Board Meets Monday Night

The Village Board holds its regular monthly meeting Monday at Village Hall. There is a work session at 7 followed by the regular meeting at 8 p.m.

Summer Fair Coming to Bethpage

The Bethpage Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Summer Fair Thursday through Saturday at Briarcliffe College on Stewart Avenue in Bethpage. Open from 6 p.m.-midnight with free admission, the fair offers live music, crafts, food court, games and rides. Fireworks on Friday.

Town Board to meet Tuesday.

Oyster Bay's Town Board is set to meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. in its only meeting scheduled for August. We'll have a full report.

Village Pops to Perform Wednesday.

Farmingdale's Village Pops is set to perform Wednesday on the Village Green at 7:30 p.m. in their continuing summer series. Free.

Free Concerts Continue Nearby at Good Shepherd

"New York Minute" performs this Wednesday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Plainview. The free concert begins at 8 p.m. A free-will offering is requested to help offset the cost of repairing and insulating our roof that sustained damage during Hurricane Sandy. See details here.
