Watch: 'Fire Island' Movie Trailer Released

The romantic comedy starring Bowen Yang and Margaret Cho releases on June 3.

FIRE ISLAND, NY — Long Island is about to hit the big screen.

"Fire Island," a romantic comedy about two gay best friends' vacation, released its official trailer on Monday. The film is distributed by Searchlight Pictures, and is set to release on Hulu on June 3.

Starring Margaret Cho and Saturday Night Live's Bowen Yang, the story is inspired by Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice," according to its trailer description.

"The story centers on two best friends who set out to have a legendary, weeklong summer vacation, with the help of cheap rosé and a cadre of eclectic friends," the trailer reads.

The movie was filmed on location in Cherry Grove and Fire Island Pines, the two LGBT resort communities, according to Pride.com.
