Where To Find A Christmas Tree In 2020 Near Fire Island
Many local Christmas tree providers are taking coronavirus precautions to help you and your family enjoy a jolly holiday.
Fire Island, NY — As the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic threatens a long list of 2020’s iconic holiday traditions, it might still be possible to take your family on the hunt for the right Christmas tree this year — and do it safely.
At least 25 million real Christmas trees are sold each year across the U.S., and currently, 350 million are growing in all 50 states.. And during this unprecedented year, Christmas tree lots and choose-and-cut farms nationwide are taking precautions as the COVID-19 pandemic worsens to ensure shoppers can take home a tree with minimal risk to their health and safety.
In fact, the National Christmas Tree Association has created a new guide full of recommendations and best practices for Christmas tree sellers to follow. The guide advises sellers to frequently sanitize items such as hand saws and tree cart handles, as well as countertops, restrooms and other areas. Special signage and touchless, paperless payment systems are also being encouraged.
