Woodhull School Students Shine at Winter Performance Auditions
Students at Woodhull School in the Fire Island School District recently auditioned for the District's winter annual performance
Fourth through sixth-grade students at Woodhull School in the Fire Island School District recently brought their courage and charisma to the school’s winter performance auditions.
Auditioning for a school performance can feel both thrilling and a little nerve-wracking, but the benefits for children are profound. Taking the stage builds confidence, strengthens public speaking skills, encourages creative expression, and nurtures teamwork. It’s a space where students learn to step forward, find their voice, and shine.
With bright smiles and bold voices, students embraced their roles and cheered one another on. The atmosphere was filled with energy, excitement and support that truly reflected the Woodhull spirit.

“Watching our students take those first steps onto the stage is always inspiring,” said Superintendent/Principal Travis Davey. “Their enthusiasm and encouragement for one another show what makes our school community so special. If these auditions are any hint of what’s to come, the Fire Island community is in for a stellar winter performance!”
The Fire Island School District congratulates every student who auditioned and looks forward to a phenomenal winter performance this coming January. The enthusiasm on display at the winter performance auditions demonstrates how the arts help students grow through confidence, creativity, community and joy.
