Lawrence UPK and Lawrence Primary School students recently marked the first of man milestones in their academic years by celebrating the 100th day of school with a fun-filled day of activities and lessons centered around the number 100.
Students and staff embraced the theme of the day by dressing up as 100-year-olds, complete with gray wigs, glasses, and canes, adding a touch of whimsy to the special occasion. The creativity didn’t stop there; the young learners also made 100th-day school headbands, showcasing their excitement and enthusiasm for the event.
Throughout the day, students participated in a wide range of activities designed to highlight the number 100. From math lessons incorporating 100 objects to creative writing exercises imagining life at 100 years old, every classroom buzzed with energy as students engaged in hands-on learning experiences. The theme offered an opportunity for both fun and educational growth, encouraging students to reflect on their progress so far while engaging in unique, age-appropriate lessons that tied into their everyday learning.

Teachers and staff also joined in the fun, themselves dressing as if they were 100, and participating in the day’s activities, helping to make the event even more special. The celebration not only served as a milestone of the school year, but also reinforced the value of teamwork, creativity, and the joy of learning.
