37-Year-Old Arrested After Injuring Officers At McDonald’s: Police
The man's arraignment was scheduled for Monday, police say.
LAWRENCE, NY. — A 37-year-old man was arrested Monday after an altercation that took place inside a Rockaway Turnpike McDonald’s, police said.
Nassau County police said officers responded to a disturbance at the McDonald’s just after 9 p.m. Sunday night, finding 37-year-old Jonathan Green on the premises. Green is without a known address and was asked to leave the McDonald's, police said, walking outside before attempting to reenter the restaurant.
Police said Green’s attempts to reenter the McDonald’s led to an altercation after he refused officers’ demands to stop. Two police officers were injured during the altercation, police said, as Green became, “violent and combative while resisting arrest.” Police said Green and the injured officers were hospitalized after the incident.
