East Rockaway Hires Veteran Educator As World Languages Chairperson

EAST ROCKAWAY, NY — The East Rockaway Junior/Senior High School has named Lauren Berg as World Languages Chairperson for grades 7-12.

Berg comes to East Rockaway with 16 years of teaching experience in the New York public schools. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Adolescence Education at SUNY Cortland with a focus on Spanish for grades 7-12.

Berg completed a Master of Science in Special Education at CUNY, Queens College. She also earned a Master of Education in School Building Leadership at Queens College.

In her role in East Rockaway, Berg will focus on enhancing language acquisition and fostering cultural understanding among students, the East Rockaway Union Free School District said.
