- An assistant coach for Farmingdale State College's baseball team is accused of making a racist comment about a member of the opposing team during a game between Farmingdale and St. Joseph’s of Brooklyn. Michael McCabe was suspended without pay for one year. (News 12)
- Nassau County police arrested three men for selling drugs from two stores in Massapequa. A non-fatal drug overdose led detectives to Sunrise Deli Convenience Store, at 1 Park Lane, and Sunrise Smoke Shop, at 33 Sunrise Highway, where Mahendrakumar G. Patel, 39, of Flushing; Meet D. Patel, 23, of Hicksville; and Prem R. Parekh, 20, of Hicksville were arrested for illegally selling THC. (Patch)
- The Hospital for Special Surgery in Uniondale has expanded to almost double the size. The orthopedic practice is also looking for locations for a new facility on the East End. (Subscription: Newsday)
