Fuel Tanker Overturns On Nassau Expressway
The driver was removed safely, but the roadway was closed for hours.

INWOOD, NY — A tractor-trailer filled with fuel overturned Wednesday morning on the Nassau Expressway causing havoc for the morning commute.
The driver was removed safely at Burnside Avenue just after 4 a.m., Nassau police said.
However, the crash caused the tanker to leak fuel leading to a closure of the expressway in both directions from Bay Boulevard to Mott Avenue, as first responders cleaned the roadway, police said.
