From September through April, teachers, parents and friends of each school earned points by submitting receipts from shopping, dining and service purchases, as well as attending mall-hosted events. At the end of the program, each school’s total points were tallied and translated into a monetary award, with every participating PTA receiving a cash prize based on their final ranking.

“It’s heartening to see Green Acres not only investing in the future of our children though the School Cents program, but also helping teach them the importance of saving and investing in their communities," said Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages.
