JFK Airport Travelers Can Expect Some Rerouting Due To Construction

Uber and Lyft pick-ups at the terminals will be relocated until the work is completed.

QUEENS, NY — Construction work at Kennedy Airport will impact travelers who use Uber or Lyft.

For hire pickups for arriving passengers at Terminal 4 will get relocated to a remote pick-up lot during peak hours of noon to 2 a.m., the airport said on its website.

Free shuttle buses will run every 1-2 minutes from the front of the terminal.

Departing passengers who take for-hire vehicles to Terminal 4 will still get to be dropped off in front of the terminal.

Due to the construction congestion, when picking up or dropping off passengers, drivers should avoid heading directly to the terminals. Instead, drivers should use the free waiting lots, including the new drop-off/pickup lot, at the AirTrain JFK Lefferts Boulevard station.
