Lidl Drops Out Of Green Acres Mall Location
The discount supermarket was planning to sublease property that a Michaels crafts store uses.
VALLEY STREAM, NY — Discussions have ended for discount supermarket Lidl to join the Green Acres Mall, Newsday reported.
Lidl was planning to sublease a building on mall property, currently occupied by a Michaels arts and crafts store.
But, the Hempstead Industrial Development Agency says Lidl has withdrawn its mall property agreement, Newsday said.

Lidl would have been near another discount grocery, Aidi, which is located at Green Acres.
The IDA did not specify why the deal was canceled.
