NORTH VALLEY STREAM, NY — A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on the Southern State Parkway early Wednesday, state police said. Officers were called to the eastbound parkway at Exit 15 for a man walking in the road around 3:50 a.m., police said. Troopers found Vincent Lashley, 72, of Queens, dead on the right lane and shoulder of the parkway, police said. Lashley was walking on the Southern State Parkway when he was struck by a vehicle that kept driving, police said. The department is asking witnesses or anyone with information to call 631-756-3300.
