Lawrence Middle School Honors Patriot Day

Lawrence Middle School held a meaningful ceremony to commemorate Patriot Day, in remembrance of the nearly 3,000 lives lost during the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

In a display of unity and respect, students, staff, and community members gathered at the flagpole in front of the building, where the Lawrence Middle School music department performed a selection of patriotic songs. As the music played, students stood respectfully around the flag, symbolizing honor, tribute, and remembrance for the victims and heroes of that fateful day. Following the ceremony, students participated in a memorial march around the school building.

“This march is not only a tribute to those we lost but also a statement of our resilience,” said Principal Willis Perry. “Our students march not in sadness alone, but in solidarity, strength, and determination. They walk with the spirit of hope, unity, and the enduring values that define us as Americans.”
