- Officials say a hot tub started a fire outside a home on Bryant Drive in Seaford. The hot tub fire led to the deck catching fire. (News 12)
- A person of interest has been identified in the fatal stabbing of Orsolya Gaal, age 51, in Forest Hills, Queens. Her body was found by two walkers in the area on Saturday, stabbed 58 times. Her husband, Howard Klein, from Hewlett, received a text message saying the rest of the family was next. (Daily Voice)
- The Long Island Special Olympics spring games will be back in Farmingdale for the first time since 2019. The event is scheduled for May 21 at Farmingdale Schools, and volunteers are needed. Participants will compete in track & field, swimming, powerlifting, and tennis. (Patch)
