Queens Man Arrested After Leaving Child Unattended: PD
The child was left in a parked car.
VALLEY STREAM, NY. — Police reported the arrest of a Queens man Tuesday after they said he left his three-year-old daughter unattended in a car parked outside the Valley Stream Walmart Monday night.
According to Nassau County police, 30-year-old Triston Evans was arrested at 10 p.m.and was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a Class A misdemeanor; he was scheduled for arraignment Tuesday morning, police said.
Public information officers said the emergency call came from a concerned Green Acres Mall security guard. The child was unharmed and police sent her home with a family member, according to authorities.
