Freeport's Word Of Life Church Free "Healing Is For Today" Conf.

Freeport, NY; November 8, 2021 –As many struggle with feelings of loneliness, stress and depression that often take a toll on their physical and mental health while we approach the kickoff to the holidays this Thanksgiving, especially following challenges impacted by the COVID pandemic that we are still facing two years later, the Word of Life Church in Freeport, NY is empowering people of all religions with a way to heal their body, mind and spirit through the word of God during its free "Healing Is For Today" Conference on Sunday, November 21 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Led by Renowned Pastor Dr. Gasper Anastasi, this event focuses on physical and emotional healing and how to break free from a “sickness mindset” where Dr. Anastasi, the founder of Breaking Free Living Well Counseling Center, Word of Life Church, and the New Life Dream Center (a residential substance abuse program), will discuss what is happening in the world that is causing stress impacting our health, including the pandemic, and what we can do to rise above our stress, anxiety and fears for achieving a better and healthier life - physically, mentally and spiritually.

Healing Is For Today is especially helpful for those struggling with physical sicknesses such as cancer, kidney disease and diabetes as well as those facing emotional aliments like fear, oppression and depression. Healing will take place through the Word of God, which will be administered by Dr. Anastasi. He will also provide guests in attendance with the knowledge and tools they need for applying this skillful approach to their everyday lives for managing their daily stress, anxiety and depression to achieve a heathier mind, body and spirit on an ongoing basis.

Dr. Anastasi explains, “There is growing evidence that a healthy mindset with spiritual principles is associated with improved health and wellbeing, especially during trying times. Research has shown that by changing people’s mindset, belief systems and ultimately, their behaviors, they are able to improve their lives. Our ‘Healing Is For Today’ Conference is designed to show people how to meet the rigorous demands of everyday life and heal from the pain that can limit them so that they can live healthy and well.”

He adds, “Hosting this event the week leading into Thanksgiving was important for us since we realize how overwhelming the holidays can be for the average person where feelings of alienation, anxiety, stress and depression can often emerge. The holidays are even more challenging when you factor in the physical, mental and financial hardships many incurred because of the pandemic that will be even more emotional for the many who will be forced to confront empty seats at their holiday tables because of loved ones lost from COVID. We timed the offering of our ‘Healing Is For Today’ event so that people are provided a positive spiritually holistic way to heal their minds, body and souls through the power of faith and God so they are prepared with a way to cope whatever stressors they are expecting this holiday season.

Eric George of Amityville, NY is a member of the Word of Life Church in Freeport who says he has found great physical restoration in attending services held at the Church through the help of Dr. Anastasi. “I had lower back pain after injuring my back from lifting weights in the gym where my pain level between one and 10 was around 9 at its worst. As someone working in construction, this was a problem,” he explains. “I prayed everyday for something to change but I never felt any better. One Sunday I visited Word of Life Church with my mom and went to the alter where Pastor Gaspar laid his hands on me and prayed for my back to be healed and by the time the prayer was over, I felt completely renewed physically. I know that without a shadow of the doubt that the power of God healed me that day and ever since then I have been able to work without feeling any more back pain.”

For nearly four decades, Dr. Anastasi life’s work has restored countless families, marriages and individuals to wholeness and successful living. An international speaker, author and mentor, he has been recognized and awarded for contributing to a better quality of life. He holds Doctorates in Theology and Christian Counseling, is a Professional Clinical Member of the National Christian Counselors Association, and is a Certified Temperament Counselor.
