Ulysses Byas Elementary School Dazzles Community with Las Vegas-Themed Spring Concert

Spirited Student Showcase Includes Singing, Dancing, Comedy, and More

Educators and students at Ulysses Byas Elementary School in the Roosevelt School District engaged the community in a showcase of student talent reminiscent of the high energy performances seen on Las Vegas Boulevard. Students performed theatrical dance numbers, witty comedy acts and mystical magic shows on May 19 during their Spring Concert, themed “UB Goes to Las Vegas.”

“Our students were so excited to transport their community to the entertainment capital of the world,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Shawn Wightman. “Their energy, enthusiasm and dedication were inspiring and heartwarming. We are so proud of how they embraced the theme and delivered performances that engaged and uplifted everyone in attendance.”

The event brought the dazzling world of Las Vegas to Roosevelt with a fun-filled evening of singing, dancing, comedy, and magic. From lively musical numbers to laugh-out-loud student-led skits, the concert highlighted the creativity and talent of Ulysses Byas students across all grade levels. The concert was the culmination of months of preparation and served as both a celebration of the arts and a testament to the dedication and collaboration on display at Roosevelt.
