2 Arrested For Glen Head Burglary, Identity Theft: Police

The men burglarized a Glen Head store and stole an employee's credit card, police say.

Two men were arrested on Thursday for burglarizing a furniture reupholstery store in Glen Head last month and using a stolen credit card to make several purchases, police say.

According to authorities, Liam Kearney, 21, of Glen Head, and Joseph Alvino, 26, of Glen Cove, entered DeAngelis LTD., located at 262 Glen Head Road, by breaking open a window at 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30.

Police say the men then stole a credit card that belonged to an employee and later used the card to make multiple unauthorized purchases at local businesses.

Kearney and Alvino were identified and placed under arrest following an investigation.

Kearney was charged with third-degree burglary, four counts of second-degree forgery, four counts of first-degree identity theft, four counts of first-degree falsifying business records and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Alvino was charged with third-degree burglary and three counts of first-degree identity theft.

They will be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
