Glen Cove Schools Closed Tuesday

With a major blizzard approaching, Glen Cove school officials are cancelling all after-school and evening activities Monday, and closing school on Tuesday.

Here are the details from the district’s website:

SCHOOLS CLOSED - TUESDAY, JANUARY 27, 2015

All schools, afterschool activities, evening activities, including the GED program and Adult Ed, are closed - TUESDAY, JANUARY 27, 2015

Due to severe weather conditions forecast to hit the area, schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Please be advised that here is a strong possibility that Glen Cove Schools will need to call for a delayed opening for Wednesday, January 28th. That decision will be made late Tuesday afternoon and you will receive a call at that time, should a delayed opening be necessary. News12 and our website will provide updates as well. All after school activities for Monday, January 26 have been canceled.

The Board of Education meeting for January 26th has been canceled due to weather conditions. It will be rescheduled for February 2, 2015.
