Glen Cove St. Patrick's Day Parade Set For March 17

GLEN COVE, NY — The Glen Cove St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee has tapped Christine Rice as grand marshal and Patricia Victoria to lead the line of march on March 17.

The parade starts at 1 p.m. at Finley Middle School, on Forest Avenue north of Dosoris Lane, and will end at St. Patrick's Church.

There will be an after party at the church at 2:30 p.m.

Rice is the executive director of the Glen Cove Senior Center and chairwoman of NOSH Delivers, Inc., according to the parade committee's website.

Victoria, a past president of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, currently serves as the organization's immigration and education officer and has recently joined the LAOH Nassau-Suffolk Degree Team.

Before parade day, the committee will host two fundraisers, including a hooley and sash party at St. Rocco's from 6 to 10 p.m. on Feb. 17.

A dance will also be held at the Knights of Columbus from 7 to 11 p.m. on March 9.
