Nassau Construction Site Worker Falls 25 Feet, Flown To Hospital
Police say the 67-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was flown by police helicopter to a hospital.

UPPER BROOKVILLE, NY — A worker at a construction site in Upper Brookville had to be airlifted to a hospital Monday after he fell about 25 feet into a large foundation pit.
The 67-year-old worker fell around 11:15 a.m. Monday at a site on Linden Lane, near Revere Court, Nassau County police said.
Emergency crews pulled the man out of the pit using a mechanical hauling system with ropes and a stokes basket. The man was placed into the stokes basket and hauled 25 feet out of the pit and was in stable condition, police said.

He suffered head and body injuries and a Nassau County police helicopter flew him to a hospital for treatment.
The construction site is about a mile southwest of a construction site where two workers died in January. In that incident, a sand wall collapsed, burying the workers in a trench under several feet of dirt.
