Sea Cliff Restaurant Owner Wins 'Best Pizza Napolitana' In Northeast

SEA CLIFF, NY—The Northeast's best pizza comes from Sea Cliff, according to a recent food expo held in Atlantic City. Jay Jadeja is the chef at The Onion Tree, a gastropub serving an eclectic mix of international cuisines, with modern takes on Indian dishes. His Pizza Napolitana recipe won first place at the 2022 Northeast Pizza & Pasta Expo held earlier this month in Atlantic City.

Raquel Wolf Jadeja owns the restaurant with her husband Jay, who was born in India. She told Patch that The Onion Tree opened ten days before the pandemic restaurant shutdown and that they are known for their pizzas.

The eatery serves traditional pies like Pizza Napolitana, Pizza Margherita, Quattro Formaggio offered alongside fusion varieties like Chicken Tikka and Masala Pizza.
