Suozzi Re-Elected To 3rd Congressional District

Residents headed to the polls on Tuesday.

Voters re-elected Tom Suozzi in the New York State 3rd Congressional District election on Tuesday.

Rep. Suozzi, a Democrat, defeated Dan DeBono, a Republican, in the state congressional election, according to unofficial results.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Suozzi had 145,060 votes compared to 103,278 votes for DeBono.

This will be Suozzi's second term as a representative. He was first elected in 2016. Previously, Suozzi served as Glen Cove Mayor from 1994-2001 and as Nassau County Executive from 2002-2009.

The third congressional district covers: Huntington, Northport, Commack, Kings Park, Dix Hills, Plainview, Bethpage, Hicksville, Syosset, Glen Cove, Roslyn, Port Washington, Great Neck, parts of Farmingdale, North New Hyde Park and Williston Park as well as Queens neighborhoods of Little Neck, Whitestone, Glen Oaks, and Floral Park.
