Resurfacing Work Starts Soon on Block-Long Stretch of Ferris Street in Red Hook
Ferris Street will be resurfaced between Van Dyke Street and Coffey Street.

RED HOOK, BROOKLYN — Over the coming days, the city will repave Ferris Street in Red Hook between Van Dyke Street and Coffey Street. The work is part of the Department of Design and Construction's Sandy Phase II Resurfacing Project. It is expected to start around Oct. 12 and conclude by Oct. 21. (Patch is trying to find out when the work will run during that period, and we'll update this post when we do.)

Pedestrians will still have access to the street during the work period, according to the Department of Design and Construction (DDC), though parking will be impacted. The work will typically take place between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., the DDC says.
Questions can be directed to DDC community liason Brianna Benitez, who can be reached by phone at 646-565-9223, or by email at Sand349fmccl@gmail.com.
