Great Neck Man Charged With Assault After Domestic Incident: Police

The man is also charged with resisting arrest after officers responding to a domestic incident had to subdue him in a struggle, police say.

GREAT NECK, NY — A 53-year-old Great Neck man was arrested and charged with assault on Tuesday after officers arrived at a domestic disturbance, police say.

Nassau County police reported that at 5:40 p.m. officers went to an apartment on Middle Neck Rd. to investigate a domestic incident. There they say Hal Lyman "became combative" and violent. After a "struggle," Lyman was arrested.

Police say officers sustained injuries during the scuffle with Lyman.

Lyman is charged with two counts of assault in the second degree and resisting arrest and will be arraigned Wednesday.
