Woman Kills Lawyer After He Refuses To Represent Her: PD, Reports
A lawyer from Long Island was stabbed to death by a woman enraged he wouldn't represent her, according to police and media outlets.
GREAT NECK, NY — Authorities have arrested a woman they say stabbed a lawyer from Long Island to death on Monday morning in his Queens office.
Jim Li, of Great Neck, was stabbed at his Flushing office, located at 136-56 39th Ave., around 11:45 a.m. The NYPD says the 66-year-old immigration attorney was knifed by Xiaoning Zhang, 25, of Queens.
Upon arrival, authorities found an unresponsive Li with stab wounds to his body and neck. He was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have charged Zhang with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
Multiple media outlets have reported that Zhang stabbed Li after he refused to represent her. Patch has reached out to the NYPD for comment.

Zhang threatened Li last week and police were called, but Li asked officers to not arrest her, the New York Times reported.
