Man Robbed, Attacked With Cane From Behind In Harlem Train Station: PD

A 69-year-old man was struck in the head with a cane within the East 125th Street and Lexington train station, police said on Thursday.

HARLEM, NY — A man was attacked and robbed in a Harlem train station this week, police said on Wednesday.

A 69-year-old man was walking into the mezzanine of the East 125th Street and Lexington Avenue train station about 7 p.m. on Monday, when two men came up from behind and struck him in the head with a cane, police said.

The duo then roughly snatched the man's cellphone and ran out of the station, police said.

The 69-year-old man suffered a cut to his face, but he refused medical attention at the scene, police said.

Both suspects are in their 20s with a thin build, police said.
