Mayor Eric Adams Endorses Inez Dickens In Harlem Council Race
Adams is throwing his support behind Dickens in the race for Harlem's District 9. Both of whom have endorsed each other previously.

HARLEM, NY — Mayor Eric Adams is endorsing Assembly Member Inez Dickens in the race for Harlem's City Council District 9.
Adams announced his endorsement Thursday at a rally for women empowerment that Dickens led in Harlem.
"These are days when you need experienced leadership," Adams said during his endorsement of Dickens. "It's not what you do when you tweet, it's about what you do in the streets."

Dickens and Adams have a history of supporting one another, with the longtime Harlem elected official endorsing Adams during his recent mayoral campaign.
Adams also endorsed Dickens during her 2022 re-election campaign for Assembly.

"What other candidate has the mayor's cell phone number," Dickens said during the Thursday press conference.
Dickens is going up against Assembly Member Al Taylor and former exonerated member of the Central Park 5, Yusef Salaam.
