Two Arrested For Harlem Fatal Stabbing, Police Say
Two people, one who is 16, are facing murder charges.
HARLEM, NY — Two people are facing murder charges in connection with a fatal stabbing in Harlem this month, an NYPD spokesman said.
Williams Hopeton, 28, and a 16-year-old boy were arrested Friday and charged with second-degree murder and gang assault for the April 7 stabbing, police said. Police did not disclose the name of the 16-year-old.
Police officers responded to reports of a man being assaulted on the corner of West 154 Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue just before 1 a.m. on April 7 and found a man suffering stab wounds to the torso and leg, an NYPD spokesman said. Medics rushed the man to Harlem Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
