SUNY Purchase Group Organizes Fundraiser For Japan

A non-profit group established by SUNY Purchase students to raise money to support relief efforts in Japan is hosing a fundraiser with all proceeds going to areas of the earthquake ravaged country most in need.

Save Japan at Purchase College will host a benefit concert called Notes For Japan on May 1, from 2 - 4 p.m. The concert will feature 30 musicians and artists including NEA Jazz Master Toshiko Akiyoshi, multiple Grammy nominated jazz flutist and tenor saxophonist Lew Tabackin and the Men's Glee Club of New York. 

All ticket sales will be donated to the J.C.C. fund established by the Japan Chamber of Commerce of New York and the Nippon Club. Seats are $30 general admission and $15 for students.
