Cub League Girls Advance to Recreation Finals
Harrison Maroon defeated Mt. Pleasant this week in the recreation all-star tournament in White Plains, advancing to the Girls Cub Recreation League Championship.

Harrison Maroon defeated Mt. Pleasant 42-28 Tuesday night to advance to the Girls Cub League championship game in the Westchester County Recreation Basketball Tournament.
They will take on a Shrub Oak team that defeated Harrison Silver 38 - 24 Tuesday night on the other side of the girls bracket. The championship game for the 11 and under division will be held on Tuesday, March 29 at 5:15 p.m. at the Westchester County Center.
Harrison Maroon is the only Harrison team at any age group to reach the finals, despite several teams having very successful tournaments. In the Boys Cub League (also 11 and under) semi-finals Shrub Oak defeated Harrison Silver 48 - 32 and Greenburgh defeated Harrison Maroon 48 - 22.

In the Boys Midget League (12 and 13) Eastchester knocked off Harrison Silver 40 - 35 Wednesday night.
Each bracket is single elimination and made up of all-star teams from local recreation leagues. More than 100 boys and girls teams from six age groups participated in this year's two-week tournament including seven squads from Harrison.
