Hundreds Rally at LMK to Oppose State Cuts

The rally was organized by Harrison education and labor groups and attended by school representatives throughout Westchester County.

Representatives from school districts across the county gathered at Harrison's  Thursday evening to celebrate school achievements while standing in opposition to expected cuts in state aid that they say will cripple educational programs throughout the region.

The 90-minute rally featured several student musical performances, some of which could be eliminated if state the legislature continues to slash funding. Speakers from several area schools rallied the crowd in an effort to spread awareness of the possible cuts.
